OUR VISION

Since our May 2023 debut, Black Odyssey Media—an independent, Black woman–owned, award-winning publishing company—has been transforming the literary landscape. While traditional publishing still offers only 5–7% representation of Black authors, we actively champion emerging and established writers with an intentional focus on authentic storytelling. Our model blends the high standards of traditional publishing with a flexible approach, supporting authors' creative freedom and career ambitions; whether that means working solely with us or exploring other opportunities alongside their journey here.

As one of the few Black-owned traditional publishers, we create a vital space for marginalized voices while providing high-quality, inclusive stories for readers everywhere. Our mission is to make a lasting impact—one story at a time.
